A Lip-smacking Chow

It rained the whole day today but that didn't stop me to do what I wanted to do which is clean my room and cook for my meals this weekend and tomorrow. I am expecting a busy weekend for I have to do peer mentoring and team-teaching with our new teacher this month. Tomorrow is the start of my busy week as my days off falls on Wednesdays and Thursdays. What a pity for me! :( Oh well, I think I am getting used to this one since I have this schedule the first time I came here more than a year ago. Today is no exception to my busy days for I have to do lots of things both online and offline. I woke up this morning a bit late coz of the shitty weather we are having this week. It has been raining hard since I woke up til evening while I am writing this entry. I hate this kind of day or should I say it ironically, 'I damn love this day very much!'. Grins.

Oh well, despite the heavy rain and chilly weather, I and my housemate still managed to go to G's place for we had been invited dinner at his place. Gladly we came to his flat at around seven in the evening. We ate much tuna salad with pumpkin soup and tea as starters. Whew! I really had more than enough when I almost finished eating the tuna salad and he served the hot and crispy potato wedges and that beef and mango round thingee. Hahah just invented this word coz I don't know what that was. I just ate it and twas really deliciouso. Indeed a lip-smacking dinner. Smiles. We had of course 'intelligent conversation' while savoring the food for over an hour which makes our mind and stomachs full.

We went home stuffed and we walked slowly home. We arrived at around nine for my housemate had to get some money from the bank nearby. Thank you very much G for inviting us in your flat and of course for the great dinner which you prepared for us tonight. I hope we could cook in our flat as well sometime soon but I think you need to cook for us our favorite pumpkin soup. Grins.

A Sweet Pinch on My Nose

While watching a video sketch with my early learners this afternoon class, one cute little boy - Tony sat beside me quitely watching the short story which was about a glove puppet meeting his fiends. This was our first lesson and video watching so I expected them to be really attuned to the television. While I was watching I was also singing with it and Tony just came up to me and whispered shhhh to my ears meaning I should stop, hahaha. What a sweat-pea! :) Then, he began to sing it too with the other kids. As soon as the video was over, he stood up and came nearer then pinched my nose as if signaling that he wanted to play with me. My class monitor was so amused at what he did to me. Then, we went back to our classroom. We had a short activity and went out for a ten-minute-break.

This class is so dear to me. They are just so funny and brilliant. I don't have any difficulty teaching them. They are just simply cute happy kids. Smiles. Indeed, I am lucky to have them this term.

Upcoming Speaking Competition

I had a very awesome class with my early learners this afternoon. They were so receptive to participate in all activities. I played couple of games with them including line games and smack the flashcard. They really enjoyed these while shouting, 'I like + their favorite food or drink'. This is what makes me feel so amused here coz sometimes they couldn't pronounce the exact word. Grins.

From our recent teacher's meeting yesterday, we decided that we only need to prepare an entry for each teacher. I had a hard time thinking it over and over about who's gonna represent my entry. Then a thought crossed my mind when our DOS said to me that he once caught two of my ealry learners delivering a piece in my room about the snowman action story while looking at the big poster which I hang a couple of days ago. Neither of them knew that our DOS saw them in my room saying the story with actions. This made him so impressed at the two kids which really concretized my decision to talk it over with their moms.

Luckily, their moms were so happy about it even asked for a copy of what to say on the upcoming Speaking Competition this March the 28th.

I am happy though and I know either or both of them could win in that contest. I just hope. I am crossing my fingers now. I know it would be so funny to look at them telling the story to everybody three weeks from now. Smiles.

There are So Many Things to Look Forward to

Whew! Right now I feel so happy knowing that everything turns out just all right. I know this sounds odd to me that I was dreading before of working with this man all people are afraid to work with but now that we are working with him I personally feel that everything is getting into its own place. I hope nothing changes and everything will just turn out alright. Right now I find all his plans are for the betterment of everyone and that I can every logic he is putting on things. I mean he is just the right man for his job. Oh well, there is a saying which goes, 'You cannot please everybody'. As for me I am pleased. Smiles.

Maria, here you are,,,:)

This evening, I was so touched to recieve a sweet gift from Venus. She is the most keen student in my class and she is in EL4A now. In my early learner class, my kids know the basics for daily conversation such as greetings, and short dialogues. Among my classes they belong to the late schedule which is at half past seven in the evening. So while she handed it to me, I was so happy and moved at how she managed to say it with a twee. She said, 'Maria,,,close your eyes' and then I closed my eyes. Then, she said open your eyes and when I opened it I saw a crafty well designed fruit shaped like a bird. It's made of carrots and raddish so cute and fresh. Finally, she gave it to me with a smile on her face. I nearly fell into tears when she said here you are and thank you to me. I was so flattered for I know she's happy in my class. Now I can really see her grow both in intelligence and height. Grins.
I would surely miss her as I will go home soon. Huh, so sad. Oh well, it's enough to know them and be with them for more than a year. Thank you so much Venus. Smiles.

So Happy to Have My Days Off and Holidays

Whew! Today I just hang around the house cleaning and mending some stuffs while slowly preparing for my tour in two days. I had done the part two of my laundry and tomorrow I still have the last part which are my beddings and other stuffs. Whilst preparing these things, I was thinking of buying a new digital camera. I want a new one for my old digicam isn't performing very well these days. It's battery life is gradually waning and I hate it while being afraid it would go off in the middle of the trip. That would be a total disaster for my travel. I just want to make everything sure. I love traveling and I hope I would really have a great time in Beijing this Saturday. I'd get as much photos I can since I am getting more passionate about taking 'good' shots most especially on gardens and landscapes. Smiles.

I Think I'm Loving this Blog!

I've been very busy these past few months because its peak season. I have to really concentrate on my tasks and that means sacrificing my blog updates that is why I've just got back to the normal schedule for this term. Autumn term isn't very busy for us at school and I have ample time for myself and my blogs of course. Now even its dawning in my place I am still up and about writing something here. I feel like not just sleepy without dropping some thoughts on my blog especiall for this one. Smiles.

Too Excited

Next week would be so exciting for me since my vacation starts on Tuesday and happily today I've booked my planned tour to two wonderful cities in 12 days. I hope I could make the most out of my holidays. I am always up to adventure and I hope it would be for real adventure this time that I chose to be alone in my travel. Of course it's a tour with other people but I would be going with people whom I don't even know. I hope somebody does speaks English so my journey wouldn't be so boring. Grins. I just hope at this time I am so excited and I can feel my mind is so restless. I've surfed the net about these two magnificent cities - Beijing and Anhui. I'd be staying in Beijing for five days and I've got to go back home after that rest and then go back to travel to Anhui to visit the most beautiful mountain in China. It is apparently called the Yellow Mountain, Huangshan is really the tallest and the most breathtaking scenes are seen at dawn. I hope I could see all these when I get there. Smiles.
